Halo Craze

Halo Craze.

Even if you are a total nintendo fan boy and absolutely hate microsoft, you can't deny the widespread media frenzy of the halo craze. Halo themed xbox 360s,3 different versions of the game, action figures exclusive to target, controlers, headsets, calenders, shirts, posters, contests, a flavour of mountain dew (wtf), books, and much more were released in order to rake in as much money as possible. Halo 3 has broken many records, including most preordered game, and most copies sold in the first day, beating the previous champion (ironically halo 2). whether you enjoy the game or not, halo has become a phenomenon.

While halo 3 may have concluded the trilogy to my knowledge, the production of the movie and the RTS game Halo Wars shows the craze won't die down for a while.

I don't really think it should have quite this much hype, but its not under my control, and as i read in a magazine somewhere: "Halo has become more than a video game. Its become a cult. It's become the Monday Night Football of Video Games. You can invite all your friends over, or just stay at home with a 6 pack of <edited choice "orange juice"> and play with your friends."

i heard that the makers of halo cut their connection with microsoft.
